In Christ or Christ in You

"All of this points to an important paradox: not only does Christ live within us, but we are to live in Christ. "On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you." (John 14:20,NRSV) When we limit our focus to Christ living in us, we risk:

Subtly conveying to people that they have more power and influence in their relationship with God than they actually possess.

Underestimating the power of God's prevenient grace at work in our lives.

Reinforcing the notion that our faith is meant to be interior and private, rather than lived out-in-the-open-with-others. "

  • Amen!

There is a real need for each of us to live our faith everyday of our lives. If Christians would, then people could recognize more easily the differences between the piety of religion and the life lived through faith in Jesus.

(I liked your About Me comments as well!)
